How to Find Gondwana Sanctuary
Gondwana Sanctuary
Gondwana Sanctuary is situated on the ocean side of the Pacific Highway, between Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads, 800 kms north of Sydney and 160 kms south of Brisbane. Byron Bay is the nearest town, a popular seaside resort on the most eastern tip of mainland Australia.

Alternatively, use the following directions:
If travelling from the north, drive south along the Pacific Highway - after you pass the exit to Brunswick Heads, drive a further 3.5 km along the Pacific Highway and exit where signed "Mullumbimby, Gulgan Rd", and follow Yarun Rd past the service station to Grays Lane. Note that it is no longer possible to exit the Pacific Highway directly onto Grays Lane. Then drive 1.2 km along Grays Lane to the first road on the left, Prestons Lane. Turn left into Prestons Lane, and Gondwana Sanctuary is at the second driveway on the left.
From Byron Bay and the south, drive 5 km north along the Pacific Highway from the Byron Bay turn-off at Ewingsdale, and turn left at the Mullumbimby exit, then take the 4th exit at the round-about to cross the Pacific Highway, then follow the road past the service station for about 2 km until the left turn into Grays Lane. Then drive 1.2 km along Grays Lane as above.
Airports
Brisbane International Airport, situated near the City of Brisbane, is about 160 km north of Byron Bay.
The Gold Coast Airport at Coolangatta, about 50 km north of Byron Bay, is a local airport with a few international connections. There are also smaller local airports at Ballina, about 40 km south of Byron, and at Lismore, 40 km south-west of Byron.
